The name Acer Saccharum comes from the Latin name for the sugar maple — a tree that is both a defining part of the Canadian landscape and a personal part of our home. Surrounded by maple forest and producing maple syrup as a hobby on the property, the connection is both practical and symbolic. The maple leaf itself is an enduring Canadian icon, representing strength, resilience, and quiet endurance — qualities that reflect the way this business is approached.

While the name does not directly describe the work, it was chosen intentionally. It is distinctive, rooted, and unmistakably Canadian, while still leaving room for a wide range of services and projects. Even the logo draws from this connection, with the veins of the maple leaf aligning with the flares of a laser, tying together the natural and the technical. Acer Saccharum reflects both where the work is done and how it is done: with care, precision, and a commitment to producing something solid and lasting.
